TECHNICAL TEAM

SOMAR success is due to its engineers’ knowledge and skills acquired through experience in HVAC. Their links with research institutions and with techno-scientific associations play a major role in their training and posture, making it so that our services transform the invested value in aggregated value for the client.
Within our policy of human resource continuing development, the whole staff regularly take part in trainings, as well as in congresses and seminars in Brazil and abroad, hence keeping the company technologically updated, so that our services planning and execution are synonymous to excellent quality.

MAURICIO SALOMÃO RODRIGUES

  • Mechanical engineering degree at Escola Federal de Engenharia (Federal School of Engineering) of Itajubá, MG (1990).
  • MBA in Management of Conditioning and Commissioning at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas, São Paulo, SP. Course of the Program of Mobilization for National Oil and Natural Gas Industry (PROMINP).
  • First Cleanroom Testing Course sponsored by CTCB-I (Cleanroom Testing and Certification Board International) and organized in Brazil by SBCC, accomplished at IPEN-SP site. The course was composed by theoretical and practical tests.  Engineers Koos Agricola, Stephen Ward and Andrevan Torgeren were in charge of training and evaluation.
  • Set up the TAB department at the company “Air Conditioning Engenharia Térmica”, 1991-1993.
  • Set up and trained the technical team for field testing in TAB, Commissioning and Qualification at Veranum Tempus Engenharia Térmica, where was Operational Manager from 1993 to 2003.
  • Managing partner of SOMAR ENGENHARIA Ltda. (founded 2004).
  • Member of the BCA (Building Commissioning Association).
  • Member of SBCC (Brazilian Society for Contamination Control), where collaborates with taskforce GT-03; has translated into Portuguese the ISO 14.644-3 norm, which today is Brazilian norm ABNT NBR ISO 14.644-3; is currently working on the norm updating, as well as on the production of a handbook for its use.
  • Coordinator of SBCC taskforce GT-53, which is about to produce a Guide to test and certification of healthcare facilities according to ABNT NBR 7.256.
